Built for Cozy: The Safe Space Heater for Pets
When it comes to keeping your pets warm, you want heat that’s gentle, direct, and doesn’t kick up a storm of dust. That’s exactly what we set out to do. We built this space heater to give off radiant warmth—think of it like a friendly sunbeam—using a high-output halogen lamp. No fans. No moving air. Just pure, quiet heat that lands where it should: on your pet, their bedding, and their favorite perch.
The Power Behind the Warmth
Here’s the thing about this heater: it’s got serious muscle. The lamp runs at 2500W on a 400V supply, and that’s not just a random number. It means you get a lot of power without needing thick, heavy cables. You can run longer lines with less voltage drop. The tube is only 300mm long, so it fits into tight spaces. That’s a lot of heat packed into a small footprint, so just keep your overall setup ventilated to manage the warmth in the room.
What It’s Made Of, and Why It Matters
Inside, the tube is quartz, filled with halogen gas, and finished with a protective coating. The halogen does the heavy lifting, keeping the filament stable even when it’s glowing hot. And that coating? It blocks the wavelengths that can be harsh, while still letting the good heat through. Then there’s the R7s connector—straight, ceramic, and built to handle the heat. It gives you a solid electrical connection and makes swapping out the lamp a simple, straightforward job. When it’s time for maintenance, it’s just a drop-in replacement. No fuss.
Warmth, Without the Drama
In practice, this setup delivers infrared warmth that heats objects and surfaces directly. The design is fixed, and the R7s interface is standard, so it slips right into existing enclosures without a redesign. For pet housing, that means steady, radiant heat with no fans to rattle or stir up air. It’s quieter, calmer, and keeps the warmth right where your pet needs it.
