Getting the power right We don’t do “one size fits all.” We build these lamps to match exactly what your machine is already expecting. Whether you’re running a standard 230V setup or a high-voltage 400V system, we tweak the tungsten filament to hit your specific wattage. If you’re doing PET blowing or glass forming, you probably need a lot of heat in a very small space—that’s where the high-voltage tubes come in. Just a heads-up: double-check your transformers. If the wattage isn’t a match, you’re just asking for a premature burnout. The secret sauce: Quartz and Halogen We use high-purity quartz because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature swings wildly. Then, we inject halogen gas into the tube. This stops the filament from evaporating too quickly, which lets us push the heat way higher. It shifts everything into the short-wave range, meaning the heat punches through your material much faster. Need something more specific? We can add thin-film coatings to the glass. It’s a simple way to control how the heat reflects and make sure it’s hitting the workpiece, not the surrounding air. If you decide to bump up the wattage on a custom build, take a look at your cooling fans and heat shields. If the ends of the lamp get too hot, the seal will fail and the tube will die early.
