Dealing with Tight Spaces
In fiberglass annealing, uneven heat is your worst enemy. It creates internal stress, and eventually, things just snap. The problem is that when space is tight, you can’t keep that “perfect” distance between the heater and the material. We solve this by bending the lamps to your specific requirements. Because the lamp actually follows the curve, you can get the heat source closer to the fiberglass without worrying about it touching or creating those nasty hotspots. You get a snug fit, which means the heat hits every inch of the profile consistently.
Getting the Shape Right
We do more than just trim the ends. We shape the heater to match the bend of your furnace. Why does that matter? Because it gets rid of those gaps you see in traditional linear arrays. When you kill the gaps, you kill the “striping” effect on your fiberglass. No more weird lines. You can also pick the wattage and voltage that works with your current power grid. If you need to get the material up to temp fast, we can pack more wattage into a shorter tube. Just a heads-up: if you go high-power in a small, custom lamp, your mounting brackets are going to feel the heat. Make sure your housing materials are tough enough to take the beating without warping.
