If you’ve ever bought individual infrared lamps, you know the drill. You get a box of tubes, and then the real headache starts. Your assembly team has to build the frames from scratch, wrestle with the alignment, and spend hours wiring everything up by hand. It’s a slog. And when you’re bending tempered glass, “close enough” doesn’t cut it. If your heat isn’t perfectly balanced across the whole sheet, you’re looking at optical distortion or, worse, stress fractures that ruin the piece.
Why we’re switching to modules

We send you a pre-assembled, curved heating array that’s ready to go. No more guessing where the lamps should sit or stressing over the focal distance. You just bolt it in and get to work.
Getting the heat just right
Getting a flat temperature profile on a curved piece of glass is tricky. It’s not just about cranking up the power. It’s all about the overlap. We spend a lot of time calculating how the radiation cones from each lamp hit the glass. If they’re too far apart? You get cold spots. If they’re too tight? You’ll overheat the center. We handle the mounting brackets and the electrical routing before it ever leaves our shop. That means you aren’t spending your Friday afternoon on the floor troubleshooting a wiring fault.
The trade-offs (because nothing is perfect)
Here is the honest part. High-density arrays get you up to temperature fast. Really fast. But that puts a massive load on your electrical panel. You’ve got to make sure your power supply can handle that initial surge when the whole module kicks in at once. Also, since these are fixed modules, you lose a bit of that “tweakability.” You can’t just slide one lamp an inch to the left once it’s bolted down. You’re trusting our thermal math to be spot on from the start. But for most people, trading a little flexibility for a massive jump in speed and sanity is a deal they’re happy to make.
